To bloggers:
I just wanted to state that I am always grateful and humbled when someone discovers my music and wants to talk about it on their blog. I want my music to have the chance to get to as many interested ears as possible, and you bloggers play a big part in that. Some blogs I am grateful to: Dying For Bad Music Tons More Cowbell Lo Fi Music Blog Brooklyn Magnolia If you are the purveyor of a blog...

3 things
Firstly, thanks to everyone who has supported the album, especially those who have generously given more than the asking price and those who have spread the word on their blogs.  As a person who just likes to record music for the sake of recorded music, there isn’t much I can do to bring it to the people. Thank you. 3 things The price for Snakes has gone down to $3. The Jason The Swamp...

So long, Rack and Ruin Records →
Dean, the proprietor of Rack & Ruin and friend to all independent musicians, is ending the net label after two and a half great years.  His goodbye message is up on the site.  I’d like to thank Dean for his support for Jason the Swamp and the countless other artists involved in the site.  We will look back on this venture fondly.

Things (Reissue) →
The album that started it all. “Things” was originally released in 2007 on the now defunct CD-R label, Popmonster Records. In 2008 it was re-released on netlabel Rack and Ruin Records. On this reissue the volume of each track has been adjusted and a song that was originally cut from the album, ‘It All Happened Today’, has been re-instated.  It’s also free!

More Things EP →
New (old) release! “More Things” is an EP that collects music recorded soon after debut LP, “Things”. It was originally released in 2008 as a full-length oddities album with too many songs that I now consider to be “filler”. This is an updated, streamlined, 8 track EP with new artwork and some slight volume adjustments. Enjoy. It’s free!

thebooksmusic: happens to be right now!  New Year…record is done.  Just finished the last track today, which Ithink we’re going to call ‘Foreign Country and Western’.  Official tracklist soon… Next time I write, I’ll explain our process of mastering, which was really interesting this time around.  We did it all ourselves again, and tried a few new techniques that yielded good results.
