Next time I write, I’ll explain our process of mastering, which was really interesting this time around. We did it all ourselves again, and tried a few new techniques that yielded good results.
By coincidence, Bob Ludwig, the undisputed master of mastering, was on the radio and had some wonderful and disturbing things to say about the ‘volume wars’.

He was kind enough to offer his services to us at a discounted rate at his notorious studio in Portland ME, but as a point of pride (and given our lack of (even meager) finances) we decided to do it ourselves.
